Patrick R. Fa Si Oen

Patrick R. Fa Si Oen earned his Master's degree in Curacao Law from the University of Curacao in 2024. For Patrick, studying law meant broadening his horizons, as he is already a trained and registered abdominal and laparoscopic surgeon in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Patrick has been a practicing surgeon in Curaçao since 2003, serving for many years as the regional trainer for teaching hospitals and the head of the Department of Surgery at the Central Hospital in Curaçao. In 2006, he received his PhD in colorectal surgery from the University of Leiden. In addition to his work as an attorney, Patrick is currently head of the Department of Surgery at Antillean Adventist Hospitals in Curaçao. 

Patrick joined Murray Attorneys at Law in January 2025 and will focus his practice on health law, administrative law, insurance law and contract and corporate law.

For Patrick, attorney work has many similarities to surgeon work. In both fields, the client must be safely guided through a sometimes unpredictable field with the goal of an optimal outcome. In doing so, the same principles apply as in his profession as a surgeon, namely the required expertise, diligence and adequate execution, accompanied by clear and transparent communication.

In his (little) free time, Patrick enjoys his family and relatives, is a fanatic of their pets and loves sports and, on his time, a good movie.
