Nihal A.A. Montroos

In 2018, Nihal A.A. Montroos obtained her Master’s degree in Civil Law at the University of Curacao (after also studying at the University of Maastricht). After completing her studies, she worked as a court clerk, gaining valuable experience within the judicial system. Since 2022, she has been practicing law across all legal fields, providing legal assistance in a broad spectrum of cases at a local law firm.

Nihal is fluent in Dutch, English, Papiamentu, and Spanish, allowing her to communicate effectively with a diverse range of clients.

Beyond her legal career, Nihal has a passion for photography. Interestingly, both photography and law require a sharp eye for detail, the ability to capture the bigger picture, and the skill to focus on what truly matters: whether in the frame of a camera or in the complexities of a legal case.

In 2024, Nihal embraced a new and deeply rewarding role in her life: motherhood. Becoming a mother has not only brought immense joy, but it has also strengthened qualities that are essential in her work as an attorney - such as empathy, patience, resilience, and the ability to balance multiple responsibilities with care and precision. These personal developments have enriched her professional approach, allowing her to support her clients with even greater understanding and dedication.
